The history of International Nurses Day dates back to 1974 when the International Council of Nurses officially declared May 12th as a day to celebrate nurses worldwide.

Its is an internationally recognised day to say a big thank you to each and every nurse for their dedication, commitment and compassion, and for providing outstanding care to our residents on a daily basis.

Recognition and appreciation goes to all staff members at St Mary's, who as a team, work together to provide the environment we do, so that our residents are cared for and happy.
